I've got five or six that are actually in process, or have the fabric for. But in my notebook and in my brain- way more are accumulating then I'll ever have time to make!

Dena789 10-11-2011 02:03 PM

I tried making a list of all my projects in progress... I stopped counting when I reached 12. I also discovered quilt pieces in a clear storage container that I don't even remember doing. That's BAD. I know it was me from the notes that are with it.

Then there are the two big totes FULL of kits. As far as those I would like to make... hundreds! YIKES!

EdieClay 10-11-2011 02:08 PM

I am in the process of binding four quilts that I have just finished. That's the most quilts I have been working on at one time. I have 5 or 6 more projects in a tote in the closet waiting on me to start on one of them. I have loved this ...

susie0808 10-11-2011 02:12 PM

I have 5 tops pinned and ready to be quilted. I have 2 tops half way quilted through. 3 tops in progress.

That means too many to complete!!!

scrappy2 10-11-2011 02:24 PM

Bobbi
I also plan on retiring in about 4 yrs & have been told you still don't have enough time.

I'm sure glad I'm not alone on the projects started. I don't mine being first (with the most started)but I just don't want to be last. I think I better go shopping this weekend just in case.

kate2962 10-11-2011 02:28 PM

i dare not count them up!!

paulswalia 10-11-2011 02:30 PM

two that are to be quilted, one needs binding and 12 "kits" put together with patterns. Better go shopping - need more!!!

Ohhh my I forgot the quilt kits I have too. Then I was looking for the last piece of material to cut for a great nephew quilt that is due in February and I found all my Halloween quilt material, and then the dragon fat quarters I bought while on vacation. Then I have 4 large totes that is full of material all nicely folded.

I used to cross stitch and got burnt out. When I went to pick it up again, my eye sight had gotten too bad and I have a hard time seeing the little holes.
So that's when I picked up the quilting.

Now I have probably closer to 20 or more quilts to work on. I have 1 that needs to be sandwiched and quilted but I want to send it out to get done as it has appliquéd ducks on it and I'm not really sure how to quilt it without distracting from the ducks.

More than my wallet can afford

LindaM49 10-11-2011 04:25 PM

I have one wall hanging kit and fabric for 3 more wall hangings. I have fabric here for other sewing projects...aprons, bags and shorts and a top. I was at Joann's today and bought fabric for something else...but that's going to be a separate post.

Jersey Gal 10-11-2011 04:46 PM

Too many. Arthritis in my dominant hand is slowing me down.

carolaug 10-11-2011 04:49 PM

I still need to sew all the blocks together.

trisha 10-11-2011 05:50 PM

Way too many to count!

GingerK 10-11-2011 05:50 PM

Before I joined this board, I said that I'd have to live to 150 years old, to finish everything I wanted to make. Now, I'd better live forever because the bucket list just keeps growing and growing and growing....

Karen Duncan 10-11-2011 06:20 PM

Pleading the fifth is a good idea. Our Quilt Club just had a show so I ussed that as a reason to finish several PHD's, (projects half finished) My list, started and in my head is....long..

merchjag 10-12-2011 02:39 AM

four

MissJMac 10-12-2011 02:41 AM

Pleeeeeezzz!!!!! LOL.
I retured 20 years ago. I just finished re-sorting some of my stash and I have 3 drawers (the 3-drawer clear plastic/white dressers from Walmart) of assorted blocks, etc. waiting to be put together into tops and quilted. Most of these are lap size - I rarely do big quilts anymore.

The one with the most, wins.

Carol J.

Here, Here, I'm with you. My family tells me that when I die there still will be lots to do till the 23rd century. I just got done with a "TAKE 5" pattern in blues & greys.

I have a dear friend that is dying so I'm finishing up all her projects to give to the family. She has been battling ovarian cancer for 2.5 yrs & now to the end I'll miss here dearly but will meet her in the next life & then we'll continue to sew up there .

Ed 10-12-2011 03:06 AM

More then I care count.

MaryAnnMc 10-12-2011 03:14 AM

Oh, this makes me fell soooo much better. I thought there was something wrong with me! I have six patterns in my head with fabric on the shelf. But then, I only decided I wanted to quilt the end of last summer. Give me time, I'll catch up!

dilyn 10-12-2011 03:14 AM

I have 6 that I have already bought fabric for, but I try to complete one before starting another. I find that I get overwhelmed when I get too many projects started and not completed.

tntgranny 10-12-2011 03:30 AM

I'd run out of fingers & toes!

Lady-T 10-12-2011 03:34 AM

I hate to admit this but I have the fabric w/pattern lined up for about 25 queen/king sized quilts.
Approx. 15 large throw/full size and this doesn't count the fabric I've bought..."just because"
Then ????? who knows how many I could make from all my scraps

patdesign 10-12-2011 03:39 AM

About 5, 3 before Christmas! I will be busy busy!

MerryQuilter 10-12-2011 03:41 AM

To infinity and beyond!

Dolphyngyrl 10-12-2011 03:49 AM

4 tops currently going

NannyPat 10-12-2011 03:50 AM

Twenty-nine! It's scary! There will be NO more shopping to buy ANYTHING until I get this massive UFO collection under control!! LOL!

tmg 10-12-2011 03:53 AM

I think I have only 3.

catladyquilts 10-12-2011 03:59 AM

I feel right at home, last count was about 50 tops to quilt and 2 shelving units of projects neatly put in plastic containers with pattern and fabric that I want to make but I'm always on the lookout for the "next" pattern.

Noiseynana 10-12-2011 04:04 AM

Probably 14 or 15. My MIL passed away and I got her tops. I'm gonna be busy for awhile.

Edie 10-12-2011 04:04 AM

Three - One for my neighbor for Christmas, one for my sister for her birthday and a Jelly Roll for us. That's all in the works, but I have scads more in my brain just churning and churning there. Edie

Pieces2 10-12-2011 04:05 AM

I have 3 I'm purchasing fabric for. Just gathered the rest of the fabric for the first one from my stash. Hopefully start machine embroidering the blocks for it next week. Still need a couple more trips to the LQS to get more fabric for the other 2. I only work on 1 quilt at a time so no big hurry. I would like to have the fabric for the 2nd quilt before winter sets in. I don't expect to get to the 3rd one before spring but plan to purchase more fabric for it at my LQS Xmas sale, since it has pp poinsettia
blocks, so I need lots of red and green fabrics.
We as quilters are alwys planning ahead so we never run out of fabric and quilt patterns. LOL

Pam Pottberg 10-12-2011 04:09 AM

I counted up mine and I have 34 quilts to do. Hard to beleive. And here I thought I was doing good. No wonder my husband thinks I keep buying fabric. (I know have a sewing room, 1/2 the guest room and now the closet in the spare room). Boy I need help.

Grambi 10-12-2011 04:10 AM

Probably a couple of dozen. There are so many wonderful patterns and ideas out there that I will always have a pile of projects waiting for me.

Annaquilts 10-12-2011 04:11 AM

Oooohhhh lets not go there!
