I see a pattern in a magazine and know that if I want the same fabric, I buy the material and stash it away for whenever I get time to work on it. Well, I counted up, what I remembered, and I have 12 projects waiting on me. They are all for someone else, nieces, son, sister, and friends. These are all projects that I have already bought the pattern, material and most of the time thread too. I have 2 cut out and ready to sew together, but I am trying to find time to cut out some others first.

How many projects do you have lined up for the future? I have 4 yrs and 6 months before I can retire, then it's gonna be sewing all day long.

UFO's included, about 10. I LOVE doing quilt tops; after that am going downhill! :-)

karenpatrick 10-11-2011 04:38 AM

Right now I have 4.

kateyb 10-11-2011 04:38 AM

I have a notebook full of projects I want to do. I think I have at least 2 dozen projects that I have some or all of the fabric, directions, thread, embellishments etc for.

raedar63 10-11-2011 04:39 AM

no comment lol

suezquilts 10-11-2011 04:40 AM

I just sent enough fabric to be laser cut for 8 quilts.
plus around 5 sitting here.
thats enough.

PaperPrincess 10-11-2011 04:40 AM

I have 4 where I have all the fabric. I don't cut until I'm ready to start sewing in case i decide to use the fabric for something else.
Good luck on that sewing all day thing. I've been retired for 4 years and I'm lucky if I can get an hour of sewing in a day.

QUILTNMO 10-11-2011 04:47 AM

too many lol

PurplePassion 10-11-2011 04:53 AM

I can't count that high. Everytime I turn around , I see another one that got pushed aside, to start another one.

Patty Patches 10-11-2011 04:53 AM

To many to count

Ms Grace 10-11-2011 04:59 AM

too many!

katier825 10-11-2011 05:01 AM

more than I can count on my fingers and toes!

valleyquiltermo 10-11-2011 05:02 AM

I'm not even going there ;-)

Susie Quilter 10-11-2011 05:03 AM

Oh my gosh......I lost track. I better get off here and get to going.

Carol J. 10-11-2011 05:04 AM

Who is counting? It is the nature of a quilter to stock up so she is never without a stash, patterns or projects.
The one with the most, wins.

I probably have at least 20 in my head....and 3-4 that I'm working on, and 1 UFO... I try not to have UFOs or too many things 'actively' in progress at one time, because i'm imppatient about finishing things. :)

GwynR 10-11-2011 05:36 AM

I decided to go count, thought maybe that would motivate me....... 25 quilts in various stages. 3 are almost done. that does not include almost 20 bow tucks to get done before Christmas!
Or the two graduation quilts for my sons that I have not started!!!

maryb119 10-11-2011 05:37 AM

I plead the fifth....

running1 10-11-2011 05:38 AM

sigh... too many!!!

QuiltnNan 10-11-2011 05:46 AM

i haven't counted, but i'm sure there are a dozen or so.

blueangel 10-11-2011 05:49 AM

Quite a few

Dagny 10-11-2011 05:50 AM

About 12-18. Like many of you, I'm gung-ho on piecing the top, then the project stagnates for a while before it becomes a quilt. The exception would be if I have a definite deadline for the project, such as Christmas or birth of a child, and in that case, I can usually keep up the lightening speed.

I'm in a profession driven by deadlines also, so I guess that's consistent.

annthreecats 10-11-2011 05:53 AM

I have three that I'm planning. I haven't cut anything yet, but I do have the fabric.

nanna-up-north 10-11-2011 05:54 AM

I have a few..... but I've been working on getting them done. My problem is that while I'm trying to finish something that I started awhile ago..... a quilt of great importance (to somebody) needs to be made. So the stack of UFOs is getting smaller but it will be awhile before it is down to zero!!.... maybe never zero..... who am I kidding?

Mad Mimm 10-11-2011 06:00 AM

I have three quilts currently "on deck" so to speak. I have the fabric and pattern ready for a 4th, but haven't started cutting yet. Beyond that... none except one or two in my mind that have not materialized in my sewing room yet. (haha, materialized, I am pun-ny even before coffee!)

Same here. I haven't counted lately but it's probably at least 2 dozen.

HomespunHandmaiden 10-11-2011 06:11 AM

Hmmm...6 I think...I'm sure the list will keep growing though...every time I turn around I have a new pattern I want to try ;)

wvdek 10-11-2011 06:24 AM

I have the pattern, fabric, thread, and material for my DD's queen size; an I Spy that has been in the works for three years; two board block swap's I need to put together; three fall table runners I have pattern, fabric, and thread for; need to finish appliqueing the seeds onto my watermelon quilt then sew it together, quilt, and bind.
Looks like eight pojects. Oh, and I am making potholders, oven mitts, and those cute mannequin pincushions as I get around to them. I get bored working on the same project for too long...I take a break and go back to whatever I want when the mood strikes.

mic-pa 10-11-2011 06:34 AM

About five quilts in various stages and several wallhangings and some craft things. At one point this summer I was all caught up, but Christmas is not thar far away I need to finish this stuff. LOL

MoanaWahine 10-11-2011 07:38 AM

3 tops in various stages, 5 tops waiting on quilting, 2 runners waiting on quilting, a table topper where quilting is started, and collecting fabric for to many projects to count. Can't have to many coals in the fire :P

memepat 10-11-2011 08:25 AM

Before Christmas 4 or 5 ( 2 quilts and 2 table runners and 1 table topper). After Christmas is another story.

Working on one now, two lined up!
:)

carmen garcia 10-11-2011 09:22 AM

too many also

mollymct 10-11-2011 09:26 AM

Three, and that's plenty for me! Two are tops waiting on borders. Still working out just what I want to do. Then one will go for quilting, I'm going to try to handquilt the 2nd. Then a 3rd little rag quilt to make in the next month. Of course, I have a much longer mental list of the quilts I want to make!!
