I have the software, printed the blocks, put them in a binder, bought some nice muslin - everything is ready to go, except me. I need a good kick to get me started.

I've started one.... I packed it up when we moved. I unpacked it and put it in a project case with the book, but who knows when I'll get back to it!

boah.....looking at your avatar what is keeping you from getting started?

I bought the book and plan on starting it soon. I was planning on just doing a block here and there. I figure it might take me 5 years.

Funny I would come across this thread right now. My wife and I were sitting here talking about the slew of baby quilts we should be working on, and I said "When we get our backlog down and can work on something for us," when she interrupted me.

"I want to work on something kind of hard." I was getting ready to say I wanted to look into the DJ quilt. It's above our skill level, and it would take us forever, but I think we could learn as we go and eventually have a really nice quilt. I showed her some pictures, but it may be more than she was thinking of.

No danger of us starting one anytime soon, but it's not out of the realm of the possible.

I started mine about a year ago. I have about 50 blocks done and almost all the rest in baggies with background fabric and colored fabric. I have been working on other things lately, but it is there when I get back to it. I think it will take me another 5 years to do, but there's no hurry.

I stated one 2 year ago and I'm still working on it, but I want to make it for my king size bed.

Here you go - I started with the 70 or so board members in Jan. last year and instantly got hooked, so I raced away with the schedule and finished early. I know at least one board member who has also finished, and several others are nearing the end now.

It is beautiful! How long have you been quilting on that one?
