I have two going now. A Christmas gift for DD and a baby quilt for my first great grand baby a girl.
i have two needing quilting right now. can't seem to get going. then many more projects after that. and Christmas is coming!!
I have several UFO's also. Part of my problem is getting on the internet and seeing so many cute free patterns and deciding I need to make them even though I have plenty waiting. And then there are the swaps I like to join but shouldn't. And, other types of hand work, like hexies or embroidery or tatting, that I work on in the evening. Wish I were more disciplined and completed one before going on to the next, perhaps that will be my New Years resolution.
When you say "going," what do you mean? Actively being worked on, even if it's only a bit here and there? Or would you consider my projects that are fermenting/aging/in time out as "going"? ;)
I am with you, several projects going on at the same time, not to mention the 5 quilts that need to be quilted!

My weaving habits have followed me into the quilting world. Right now I have a bargello that is all basted, just waiting to be quilted, bound, and hanging pockets made for it. I am also doing sew-alongs here, the new monthly Quilting Bee and the 17th mystery train. I don't consider the last two UFO'S, they are WIP - works in progress.
It is the same in my weaving loft, all of the looms are currently occupied with WIP's, it is the same way with the sewing piles, 2 bags started there, and both pieces of braiding equipment has projects. I like a lot of variety and I really enjoy bopping from project to project and quilting has just joined my personal round-robin that goes on in my house. I just recently told someone that I no longer live in a house, I live in a fiber studio:D |
Without considering UFOs (quilts that have stagnated in some stage for more than 6 months), I have:
- 150 Canadian Women - 78 of 150 blocks made - 2 mystery quilts (PEI Modern Guild mystery, times 2) I just finished my most recent project, and that's actually a low "in progress" count for me. Waiting for the rest of my guilds to decide what their annual project is. I'll generally join most/all of those once they get started. Plus Bonnie Hunter is coming soon, so that'll be another mystery on the books. The UFO count was over 30 last time I checked (mostly waiting to be quilted). |
Too many to count, unfortunately. So much fabric, so little time.
Eight, at the moment...
I wouldn't know where to start counting. Especially since I am involved in Blocks of the Week and Blocks of the Month and different classes I've taken over the years. No --- I can't even hazard a guess as to how many I have going right now!
