People make tables and such out of them all the time, go for it and you will love it.

Sounds like a winning combination to me.......however, I didn't need another way to look at sewing stuff that is going to cost me more $$.....lol

I saw something like what you are talking about on an earlier post and I thought what a cute idea to make a cutting table from. They normally have rolling feet so I was going to look for one so I can take it out and put it up when I need it, plus it would be at a really good height for me--not to mention a place to rest my feet.

I have one that I use for a sofa table, so NO it's not wierd...
Happy quilting! Susan |
I think it would be pretty cool. Pictures please, when finished. :)

It's not weird. About 30 years ago, my older brother made a small table out of the legs from our grandmother's machine. My SIL still has it and treasures it.
|
No, they make really cute tables and look really great with country decor.
|
Sounds like a great idea. People today always seem to be making something new out of old things.

My breakfast nook table is an old treadle stand without the pedal and flywheel. IT has a nice top made from sanded and stained 3/4" plywood. IT is very sturdy and solid

Not weird at all - The desk sounds great or even legs for a cabinet. Could you use it with dowel rods to hold ribbon etc or a small quilt rack for those smaller quilts? I say go for it. No matter what you use them for they would be sturdy lol
