How Would You Do This?

I've been puzzling over this quilt...How would you piece this? Or is it applique? Any ideas?

Thanks, Watson

I followed the link of the pin to the site, somewhere in the series of pictures mentions book 3-D Explosion-Carla Gulati
see also www.doodlepress.com/free-pattern.php it says use applique of choice.

Thanks! She has some amazing designs on her site.
One day I'll figure out how Pinterest works.

When you do, let me know. I waste more time trying to find info about the pictures on Pinterest.

When I clicked on the link in your first post there is a whole page of pictures, which one are you asking about?

That's funny...it's just one for me.
It's the one that looks like a multi coloured ribbon.

Try raw edge applique. I would imagine the design is drawn on newsprint paper, sections and fabric pieces cut out and put on a background fabric with double sided fusible, then stitched round the edges and elsewhere. This is another 'one day' project for me.

I had a whole page of pictures too, but then I realized I wasn't logged in to Pinterest. Once I logged in, it went to the right pin.

And yes, it does look like applique to me too.

I'm with you all about pinterest; I think it's hard to find anything 'specific'. You type in something specific and get EVERYTHING you have to wade through; not worth the time. So I'd be interested too if you find an 'easy way'.
