It is wonderful that you have a youngster joining the group!

I have a Patchwork class that I hold every Wednesday in our local village hall, it has been going for nearly 2 years and one of my ladies has a lot of health and pain problems and finds quilting so therapeutic. She has been doing lovely work and her family are amazed and very supportive. Anyway one of her GD showed such an interest Ceri put together a starter quilting set from an old sewing machine to FQs and Rulers. To give her additional support I have put together a pre-cut D9P kit and will send her it next week. She is only about 28 years old so it's great to have a new young quilter joining us all. I feel so chuffed that I have spread the love of quilting to yet another generation.

Learned a new word today - chuffed. I just finished explaining what stuffed shirts means to my 25 y/o daughter so I guess it's a good day for learning:)
I would like to say thank you for your encouragement to this woman and her GD. Wonderful feeling to help others along the way!! |
Very well done. Our hats are off to you.

Love that you did this for her. Always feels so good to share our love of quilting with someone else.

That is a terrific story. Makes me happy.

That is so wonderful. I have a "new" DIL of about a year. She showed interest so I bought her a new Janome and she is working hard at learning to sew. She is doing a great job and I am so proud of her. I also have a granddaughter who is a crafter and trying to learn. It makes me so happy to see them learn, especially since Home Ec in school is a thing of the past.
