I'm a sucker for boy prints. Loud and lovely at the same time. makes my heart sing to put them together. I wonder if that is because I have 5 grandsons, a husband, 5 brothers? That may be part of it, but boy fabrics are more interesting to me, as well.

I like kids prints too, they are fun to use in my quilts. I like how bright the colors are.

I also love boy prints! I have an 11 year old DS and I love finding fabric that he likes so I can work with it. Right now my favorite kid's fabrics are Dr. Who and Harry Potter. :) |
My favorite quilt to make is an I Spy quilt of kids fabric. For years I would buy kids prints because I knew I would use it is an I Spy. (Originally it was with 3 or 4 inch hexies.) So many people we knew were having babies and I would make one for the baby and another one for an older sibling if they had one. After that it is Christmas fabric and Halloween - love those fabrics, and I have no self-control from buying them.

You are not alone. I get my "fix" by making baby quilts for charity on a regular basis.

I spent this weekend cutting over 400 squares for I spy quilts (5" and 9 1/2", some for me, some for swapping). Kid prints are my weakness. I just love seeing a stack of all the fun fabrics.

I like kid fabrics too. I collect robot fabrics; people will ask me who they are for and I just say, "ME!" I love robots and don't intend to grow out of it anytime soon. (I have robot toys on my desk at work, too!)
I like space theme fabrics too. Some day I'm going to make myself a space-themed quilt and people will probably think that's for a kid too. :) |
