You have a very nice hubby if he encouraged the fabric shopping! Lucky girl.

You will have many wonderful reminders of you trip with those beautiful fabrics!

So happy you had such a nice vacation and pleasant experience here in the USA. Even though we live in a rural area we're use to having to travel some distance to get what we want. So a 50-75 mile trip is nothing for us. In that circumference we have access to 7 quilt shops plus numerous JoAnn's and a Hancock's so we are indeed lucky! Also, order on line at times due to the price of gas. Your fabric choices were stunning. Please post a picture as you go along.

Glad you enjoyed your trip! I have heard that LQS are hard to find in most parts of Canada, as they are in some parts of the USA. You got lucky! Have fun with your new stash! :)

That was a shame as I really like going to a new place and visiting the local markets and fabric stores and meeting the people that live there as well as seeing the sights.

Your DH sounds like a really nice guy! Suggesting stopping at all those shops. I can't imagine my sweetie doing that, but he does tag along sometimes.
Beautiful choice of fabrics, by the way. And, what a nice trip. |
Thank you all for your nice comments.
Yes, I considere myself lucky because of my husband wanting to drive by "some" quilt shops (3 or 4 would be the most he is willing to go too but this is very acceptable for me). I think he admires all the beautiful quilts that his sister make and has been making for the last 20 years. We had a very nice vacation as far as Nashville then getting away from all the tornadoes we headed west by Dodge City, Denver and Salt Lake City. Much more to see I know. and I haven't seen all of Canada either even if I have been from Newfoundland to Vancouver... It's a big continent loll |
Dear helou.
Depending where you live in Quebec a LQS store might be closer than you think! Are you far from Montreal? There are international crossings to New Hampshire. Please google a map to Center Harbor! AT Lake Winnepesauke! That is where KEEPSAKE QUILTING is! The nicest most beautiful quilt store possible! |
You found some beautiful things.

Thank you
Jeannie, thank you for the information. I looked it up and it would be a 5 hour drive. I'm a good 2 to 3 hours east of Montreal. I kept the address though because we might be driving this way in the Falls... Thanks |
