My purple flowers applique quilt top!! Here is the original thread for those who did not read it - do so.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-159010-1.htm

It is full of wonderful things from my quilt friends telling me great stories about stuff they have lost.

Anyway, I spent the weekend relaxed cause I had given the problem to God and knew he would put it in my eyesight! And He DID!!

This morning I was looking for another project to work on, found a UFO table cover I wanted to finish, and when I went to my scrap batting area I grabbed what I thought was a perfect piece, opened it up, and lo! my purple flower quilt was folded inside! Well, I yelled "I found it" and my DH came running and say "where, where?" We both had a good laugh.

Thank you so much to all those who commiserated with me and shared their wonderful stories of lost items. Unfortunately, I did not find any of the rulers, car keys, or purple flip flops. However, don't give up, they are out there somewhere. Remember, your memories won't be quite the way it actually happened! (I misremembered!)

I took some photos of my quilt room to let you see my
"search area" and one of the quilt so you can see it, too. Sorry the quilt is sideways!

Again, thanks and God Bless you all for all your love!!!

Glad you found it. I got up this morning and can't find my housecoat. After coffee I will go look again. Sigh. Maybe I should have just stayed in bed.

Hey - I definitely would have gone back to bed!! Love sleeping in this time of year when it is just starting to get cool and the first quilt goes on the bed! Hummmmm!!! Snuggle time!!! :-D

MisDixie 10-10-2011 10:07 AM

Question? What is the name of that quilt pattern? It really is a pretty one.

Maia B 10-10-2011 10:18 AM

Very pretty! Lovely appliqué! You room looks plenty tidy to me. I love sewing room pics, thx for sharing!

crafty_linda_b 10-10-2011 10:27 AM

Lois so glad you found it!! Your room is quite organzied compared to mine!! I love the quilt too. My 5 yr old grandson is here looking over my shoulder. I said "Ethan isn't this a pretty quilt?" He said "Yes grandma it is...you could make that" *L* He is too funny. Then he reminded me that I am suppose to be working on his dinosaur quilt...which I do need to get done for him. crafty_linda_b

BETTY62 10-10-2011 10:29 AM

A friend of mine made her grandson a dinosaur quilt and used florescent chartruse green light glow (shines in the dark) thread on the top. He loves it.

So glad it reappeared  I tend to lose things so rather than panic, I just wait for them to reappear and they usually do.I have to admit some times they take a realllly lllong time to reappear.

AngieS 10-10-2011 11:08 AM

Your studio looks like a creative genius at work and therefore .... organized.

I used to have a sign in my room that said:

A Creative Mess
is better than
Tidy Idleness!

Your room looks great - lots of organization going on.

blueangel 10-10-2011 12:02 PM

I remember once when I was young coming home from the laundry with groceries and later discovering I had put the laundry in the veg bin and the vegies on the washer. See, you don't have to be old to do that stuff!! hahaha

Rhaorth 10-10-2011 12:52 PM

very pretty quilt, love your sewing area, and allll that fabric... ohhh heaven! (I like a messy work area, when it is too tidy I can't seem to do anything)

AngieS 10-10-2011 12:54 PM

That sounds like something I would try to do! LOL!

I have personally been in Lois's sewing room, and although it is quite "cozy", everything is handy and she knows right where everything is. Until, that is, she couldn't lay hands on her beautiful fused applique quilt top. She had been showing our friendship group how she had reorganized her stash closet, and I really think that's when it happened....the quilt top just curled up inside the batting to feel "safe", and stayed quietly there!! LOL

Lois, I am sooooo happy you found it!!! Can't wait to see it finished, sweet lady!! :-)

nursie76 10-10-2011 02:30 PM

What good news! So nice to know you found it!

RobertaMarie 10-10-2011 04:56 PM

Hey Lois, I think Janice may be right, it was hiding just in case someone got sticky fingers while you were showing off your stuff. Now I would never do that, but you know how we are sometimes, and just get carried away. I love your blocks and can hardly wait to see it finished. You are awesome.
Sure glad you found the treasure. I knew you would!! You never fail.
Hugs, Roberta

pocoellie 10-10-2011 05:04 PM

I did that yesterday! Found out hubby decided to throw the robes in when he did the laundry and they weren't done yet. I thought that I was going crazy because I always take it off and hang it on the back of the door.

MisDixie 10-10-2011 05:25 PM

LOL, I havn't had the nerve to ask DH if he put them in the washer, but I am kind of scared of the answer.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! So glad that you found out. As soon as I saw the title of this post I knew. Are you sure my purple flip flops weren't there with it? LOL

Gorgeous quilt top by the way.
