I am sure that the quilter's kids wouldn't be selling her items if they thought she would be wanting/needing them again :D:D:D
My kids know what to do with all of my sewing/quilting items...as well as the rest of my belongings :D but we are all hoping that is many, many years yet in the future :D:D:D |
Just enjoy!! It sounds like lots of fun to me!

Sounds like a great bargain. I'm guessing they are doing this with her approval (hopefully!). I think it's a great idea to make sure people know what you want done with everything for when you're gone.

I would surely feel blessed, if that was me! Count your blessings! :-D

I would not feel guilty. If you had not purchased it someone else would have done so. I have told my family what to do with my stasch when I pass own because I want it to go to someone who will appreciate it and finsh all of my WIPs. LOL

Enjoy it.

When I'm gone, it's not my problem.... I expect there will be a great tag sale, and other folks will enjoy their "finds" as I have many of mine...
Same with my beloved dolls.... and other treasures that I've collected over the years. |
e for 25 years of cross stitch projects all kitted up and ready to go. Sigh, I hope I've got time to come up with a plan, I'm 49 afterall, no spring chicken.[/quote]
------------------------------ NONSENSE!!! I'm 77, widowed and still planning on what to do when I grow up. I want to meet another man, get married and have a few....trips to other parts of the country. What did you think I was going to say? (giggle, snicker/teehee) No, we do what we can with what we have. So go on and have fun with it. I've given some fabrics to friends who did me favors, one just recently and she refused pay for it. But she had mentioned months ago that she was making pillow cases for a much loved Gkid and had hunted unsuccessfully for certain patterns. I had some and just gave it to her and the look on her face well repaid me for it. If you can't use it, give/sell/donate it to someone who will. |
Happy quilting.

If YOU get sick, decide you have too much, etc etc...then YOU do what you feel best doing. If you want to give it to your daughters, your church, then do it. Everyone in this life has free will. The problems start creeping in when folks don't speak up for themselves and their wishes. :D One of or members in her will, said she wanted everything other than machines that could be sold, to go to ASG for a garage sale. The money was to be used for projects.unsold machines were donated to classes for beginners, adult and children. |
