I didn't take time to read all the posts, but this is the best tutoral I've seen on binding corners. Of course it works for 90 degree corners too. I've been binding quilts for years and was never happy with my corners until I learned her tricks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vci9-li3aYU

Yes, I use Sharon Schamber's way of binding with Elmer's School Glue. Won't do it any other way. I don't mind doing the binding any more at all! No pins, works great and looks great!!!! :thumbup:

Perhaps you could find someone near you who does not like to do the piecing or cutting and trade them your work for their binding skills?

Once you get it, you'll wonder why you ever thought it was hard! But it is hard to get it right that first time, and to be honest every once in a while, you'll find one corner on a project that simply will not cooperate. But most of the time, it'ss be fine! froggyintexas

I had trouble doing mitered corners too! Then I found the video on you tube by Jenny from Missouri Star Quilt Co.. She is so good at teaching how to do it. It really is easy now. Go watch it. Good Luck!

I took a class on binding so see if I could learn anything new. Being exact when you stop 1/4 inch from corner, use a disappearing marker if you have trouble getting that 1/4 inch. Be very careful about folding back exactly!!!. My problem with the binding was some of my binding was full and some empty (if some of you know what that is)

Funny enough, I actually like to do bindings. As others have said, stop 1/4" from the end, then fold the binding straight up at a 90 degree angle,hold the corner, then fold it back down..... then start sewing back down the other side. Once you fold it over to the other side, it should make a good corner. Good luck! don't know if this makes any sense!
