And...what's your point????

KathyPhillips 10-05-2011 08:04 AM

Have you made a "Not your Grandmother's Flower Garden"? It is done in strips and easier than the original.

Margie 10-05-2011 08:25 AM

If you are enjoying yourself, then you are not crazy :)

Stitchit123 10-05-2011 08:29 AM

Quilts in progress-3 baby - 2 queen -2 lap and some how I got roped into making a reversible hanging bassinet thingy one side pink the other blue and I still have to get 2 more queens which I haven't even shopped for yet due for Christmas. And here I am on the computer my brother said 'shouldn't you be sewing' -I replied I'm working on perfecting my Procrastinator Gene- Oh I forgot I also have to cut and prepare blocks for a baby shower then make the quilt-I need a couple clones

nancy59 10-05-2011 08:40 AM

I have 5 UFO's waiting to be finished, but the silliest thing I have done recently was tearing my newly remodeled room apart yesterday looking for my attachment box. For the longest time it was on the shelf under the table. When I gave up and started sewing I realized the attachment box is part of my machine and I had put it back on the machine. Still haven't admitted it to my husband, who did wander in the room and took a look before he fled.

At least you won't run out of something to keep your interest sparked!

Sewfine 10-05-2011 09:03 AM

No crazy, just fun quilting. I just finish the wedding quilt. Working on deer quilt lap size, 2 wall hanging and a fall table topper.

QuiltingHaven 10-05-2011 09:06 AM

Sounds pretty crazy.....to anybody who does not quilt. I currently have one quilt being hand quilted on a frame in my quilt room, 2 baby quilts (waiting to find out if they are boys or girls) ready to begin on, a patriotic quilt in the piecing stage, and a "quilt to go" in sections that I can hand quilt in the evening sitting beside the DH. And they say we quilters can't multitask!!!!!!

just_the_scraps_m'am 10-05-2011 09:09 AM

i quit counting & just put them in baggies!!!!!!!

ghk1936 10-05-2011 09:18 AM

You are not the only one that finishes 1 project before starting a new one. Guess I can't multi-task as well as a lot of you. I'm going to try more than one at a time and see if I succeed. I spend too much time on the QB-maybe my biggest problem. Enjoy it though.

EagarBeez 10-05-2011 09:57 AM

I'd be exhausted, that's for sure, and I would never get anything done. When I have too many projects going at once, want's to make me jump from one to the other and will never get anything done. That's why I stay with one project from start to finish

Diane C. 10-05-2011 10:08 AM

Sounds perfectly normal to me Diane C

valleyquiltermo 10-05-2011 10:15 AM

Dang I have so many in the process besides about 30 maybe more to LAQ, all mine... Have several customer quilts to quilt so they get service first, then me.

WisWis 10-05-2011 10:18 AM

I'm the same- still have a sampler quilt I've been quilting for about four years on and off as well as baby quilts and a partially finished quilt top.

gramquilter2 10-05-2011 10:26 AM

I couldn't even tell you how many projects I have started at the present time. But I have finished 4 UFO's this week so I am getting a "little" better.

sweetpea 10-05-2011 10:28 AM

We may be crazy. but an it fun. and we are all in good company.

fred liniger 10-05-2011 10:28 AM

You don"t have time to be crazy or insane

Oh my, is this the wrong way to schedule my quilting life?!? I thought this was normal....

joyceinoh 10-05-2011 10:31 AM

I would be bored with it all if I only had 2 or 3 projects started at once. Just like books, I find myself reading more than a couple at a time.

Busy Quilter 10-05-2011 10:37 AM

Maybe that way no single quilt is driving you crazy like my own situation...

vjengels 10-05-2011 10:45 AM

I do the same thing!
I currently am working on a;;
EPP Seven Sisters , finished size unknown
EPP & peiced Red White & Blue dbl size
4 'tube' quilts for the Grand kids
hand quilting a 45x45 wallhanging
embroidering a 'snowman alphabet' quilt.
I generally work on at least 3 of those things daily, even if it's only for 10 mins. then, one day I 'magically' have 3 things done !!!!!

breezyquilts 10-05-2011 10:46 AM

You sound pretty normal to me :^)

BarbZ 10-05-2011 11:13 AM

Ha Haaaa! How many arms and hands do you have and also how many machines? You are not alone though for sure. At least y ou wont get bored. Have fun!!!!!

nannyrick 10-05-2011 11:19 AM

Can't stop you because I,m right there with you.

wraez 10-05-2011 11:26 AM

Ha, better you than me!

Linda1 10-05-2011 11:37 AM

I must be a lunatic. I went past insane a long time ago. I keep telling myself to finish one before starting another but I see a new pattern and have to try it. I have lost count of how many I have started but it is so much fun I don't worry about it.

klarina 10-05-2011 11:45 AM

sylviasmom 10-05-2011 12:09 PM

Well, then I'm crazy too. I usually have just as many project going on. And several more in the mental planning stages also.

dltaylor 10-05-2011 12:13 PM

But that way you don't get bored with one..you can flip flop between them..LOL

anniesews 10-05-2011 12:13 PM

Yeah, maybe we all are a bit that way. So then, why do I go start even one more project?

MS quilter 10-05-2011 12:43 PM

exactly

megs0863 10-05-2011 12:48 PM

That's called multitasking. It keeps one from getting bored with one project.

gertz 10-05-2011 12:52 PM

Not crazy just in good company. I have in progress a lattice quilt, T shirt quilT, black and white log cabin, another I forget the name of and just finished another one this morning. I think I have a sweat shirt jacket in there somewhere. Just keeps our interest up.

lillybeck 10-05-2011 12:57 PM

I can relate to this. I have 2 tops finally finished waiting to be quilted, 1crosstich I am trying to get finished, hand embrodering some things that go in another quilt and have started to sort my strips for another and I feel perfectly sane,

teacherbailey 10-05-2011 01:08 PM

I think we're all excellent multi-taskers!

Iraxy 10-05-2011 01:18 PM

Wow, I thought I was the only one who did this. I have right now: Twin size log cabin that needs a back, queen size stained glass quilt that needs 40 more blocks, about 7 tops that need LAQ, a butterfly quilt that needs starting but I have all the fabric and back for, and a quilt whose name escapes me that I have all the fabric, pattern and back for.
I guess I am no help either. LOL

tatavw01 10-05-2011 01:21 PM

me too!!!

dljennings 10-05-2011 01:37 PM

i read the whole thread, and as usual, you ladies have made me feel so much better.

i have 13 things in process, not counting the 2 bom i just started... (they haven't come in yet, so i don't think they count"

and, i am going on the shop hop weekend after next.. so who knows what the count will be after that!

happymrs 10-05-2011 01:39 PM

I always have several projects going, keeps me sane! I would go nuts if I only had one thing going at a time & forced myself to keep at it till it was done! You sound perfectly normal to me, work on whichever one you want, whenever you want, & don't even worry about it, just enjoy!

craftymatt2 10-05-2011 01:58 PM

and here i sit, knowing i have sooooo much to do.
