I wanted to share the quilt boarder I made with the Creative Grids Trapezoid

This was a supper fun class, and I found the ruler to be user friendly. This baby quilt is for my DH's nephew and his wife for their new arrival.

BTW, the red looking squares are really a raspberry color. My camera distorted the color.

I have always done that with a foundation fabric that has the lines printed but it's great to know that it can be done without and still turn out great. I hate always having to buy the foundation fabric. Would be money ahead to purchase the ruler!!

I've done the French Braid border on quils. Great way to use up scraps, too. |

I wasn't hard to make at all. SUPER DUPER easy to cut out and sew together!!! A great beginner boarder.

Great border. I do this one just by using strips but there is a lot of waste. I will have to look into this ruler!

I love that boarder. It really makes the quilt. I want to make myself and a friend a simple quilt. They look so plain. I am doing to try this boarder. I think it would be the touch I need to wake them up.
