lol I would be floored he doesn't know anything about sewing machines and then wonder what he wants! I can't complain too much though he bought me my Bernina 550QE a couple of months back he went and asked all kinds of questions at our LQS store and he picked that one to buy. He can't protest too much though he gets wine from California every 3 months lol

I would be shocked, since I just got a machine a few months ago :)

But the 7700 was my second choice (however, I now think it should have been my third choice, I really regret not looking at the Brother's a bit more), so I'd assume he was listening to all my talking, and we had won the lottery to afford another machine.

I'd ask him whose is was and what did they need fixed.

I'd give him hugs and kisses and then ask how Cheryl (quilt store owner) talked him into it.

Ask him how much we won in the lottery...since I'm sure he bought himself something too and didn't want me to find out about it.

I would ask what her name was and then be over the moon over the machine.

A few years ago I circled something from the JoAnn's ad that I wanted for Christmas and he brought home that and a Viking DSE. This is the same man who doesn't do anything for holidays or special occasions. A kiss and Happy Birthday is about what I usually get from him. "You said you wanted to get a better sewing machine and I know you sew a lot, this is the best one they had. Is it ok it was the floor model? It was the only one they had in stock." I had a white heavy duty machine that did straight stitch and a couple of zig-zag. I was thinking a few more stitches and maybe a button holer and zipper foot/stitch.

So needless to say even now when I get really agrevated with him, I stop and look at that sewing machine and remember he does love me. Even if he doesn't say it often or clean the house.
