Another big plus in favor of Paducah is, it's a fairly small town. It has a definite small town atmosphere and the quilters are welcomed and appreciated every where.

Oh Paducah for sure! well I only live about 40 miles from Paducah and I moved here just to be close to the show. Sister came up from Ga last year and we did Paducah 6 days, shops museum, and the show and the venders mall. What a great time!
Also went to Knoxville last year, was not 1/4 the size of Paducah show and we had a hard time finding parking, but we did have fun. Am so looking forward to this show this year, sister is coming again and we have the best time ever, leaha |
I still want to get to Paducah.

I try not to miss Paducah. It's so nice to not be confined in one building for the quilt show. It's all over town. It's like having a dozen shows at once. You have Eleanor Burns show and tent sales, Hancock's of Paducah, downtown book and vendor s, mall vendors, the museum, the quilt show, and many special quilt shows set up in various buildings. Every night there is well known quilter doing show at the downtown center. The downtown area is very walkable to and from the main quilt show especially to the chocolate shop or you can ride the downtown trolley.

I was lucky enough to get to go to the show in Houston last year. My husband was even impressed.I've also been to Dallas, Oklahoma City and Atlanta but Houston gets my vote. Everyone should see it once. It's wonderful. Maybe I can talk my husband into Paducah next year.

If it were me picking from the original three listed, I'd go to Paducah. I've never been to any of those shows but Paducah had always captured my attention when I became involved in quilting.
There's three in CA I'd like to check out, Long Beach, Ontario and one up near 'Frisco. Elsewhere, Houston and where is it, Hampton, VA, if anything just to say I went. |
Houston hands down. We've been 3 or 4 yrs in a row and going again this year. We stay downtown, take the free bus to the Convention Center. Get tired....catch another free bus & return to the Hotel for awhile, then take a bus again back to the Convention Center. We love it!
