If you could only go to one quilt show... which would it be and why?

I'm just curious.
We're debating going to Paducah(this April), Knoxville(in July) or Atlanta(in October)... leaning towards Paducah although Knoxville is at a better time for us.... We won't be taking any classes at Paducah as I didn't really see any that made me want to jump for joy.. and Knoxville & Atlanta don't seem to have their class lists posted yet :(

I would go to the one in Des Moines because it's closer to me.

Okay---I went to the Knoxville show last year and it was wonderful!!! I would highly recommend it. The quilts were fabulous and the vendor mall was great! There are also several nice quilts shops in Knoxville and the surrounding area.

Atlanta in October will be a Quilting Expo (as opposed to a quilt show). I attended it last year. It is much smaller than Knoxville and Paducah, there are not a lot of quilts and lots of the vendors were selling sewing and long arm machines.

If my choice was between Knoxville, Paducah and Atlanta---I would eliminate Atlanta and choose between the other two.

Oh---and if I could only go to one quilt show----it would be HOUSTON!!! And I am going this November. I am so excited!!! I cannot wait!

I would have to go to the one here in OK, because I work at it.

If I had to pick one, it would be Knoxville. My in-laws live there so I would have a place to stay. I am going this year! I am so excited. It will be my first year going to a Quilt Show.

Is Knoxville a much smaller show than Paducah?

We've got hotel reservations about a half hour outside of Paducah since nothing else was available - LAST SEPTEMBER when we booked it - I know! Nuts, aye?! But our neighborhood yard sale is the same weekend as Paducah and my friend and I usually set up and really do well at the sale so she's leaning towards going to Knoxville instead...

Depending on whether you will be driving or not, keep in mind that Paducah is spread out all over the town. It is at least worth going one time. I like Knoxville, because it is contained in one building. Great for if you only have one day. Paducah needs at least 2 if not 3.

I'd go to Paducah. I would love to go to Houston but I don't think my back can take that much walking. Paducah is smaller but still plenty big enough.

But since I don't live that close to Paducah and don't really have that much money to spend this year I'll be going to the quilt show in Denver the last weekend of April. There aren't as many quilts or vendors but there's still plenty of nice things to see and spend money on.
