Are there some special feet that you would like for your Bernina? Will the 440 take the felting foot and sole plate? A couching foot? The magnifying glass set for your Bernina. I just treated myself to a set at $60. Tickets for a special quilt show coming up with an overnight stay? A rolling tote with several cases that fit onto the handle for going to workshops? If you have a LQS close maybe a special workshop and supplies?

I recently got the cutwork plate. They didn't have the straight stitch plate for my foot and sold me the wrong one. So they replaced it with the cutwork plate.
Magnifying glass is a good idea. Or either get my glasses changed. Not to big into going to workshops and such especially since I'm working. And with me going to India in a short while and having ankle surgery there won't be any days of vacation left. Same with the workshops or classes at my LQS. I've had the card since Christmas. Going to my local Bernina shop (where I have a $50 card to spend) tomorrow. Will see if there's anything there. Please keep the ideas coming!!! There are some very good ones that I'm adding to my list of considering them. Thanks!!!! |
Do you have an Accu cutter they are about that cost....... and they are great to have

How about maybe buying some fabric that you like and know that a special friend would love to have and gifting them the fabric as a quilting angel. especially if it is someone who is tight on the budget department. You will feel great at giving a gift to someone who could use it and know that they will always treasure it. or you could take your dd or grandbabies to a special event like a movie and dinner or maybe toy shopping for the grandbabies. just some thoughts. or maybe a new mommie who doesn't have a lot getting her some really cool baby stuff she could use and making a baby blanket. just some thoughts.

Sounds like you pretty much have anything you want or need. Why not consider donating the card to a food kitchen or local veterans hospital or veterans community-based outpatient clinic?

I have a generous quilting budget and I spend the bulk of it on quilt kits and BOMs. I think I'd buy a really fantastic quilt kit.

Go to a quilting retreat. That was the best $250 I have spent in a long time.

Do you have a really nice chair to use when you are sewing ? what about a back up machine or a light weight one to take for classes/ retreats, etc.
