I'll do that tomorrow, but I don't go out on weekends. I am 10 miles from my Joann's, and 10 miles the opposite direction from Wal Mart, and my LQS isn't open on Sundays (Amish country, you know). I will try the pins. I'll post a pic if I ever get it done.
I'm - 20-25 miles from ANY store and 35 miles from a fabric store.. 10 miles would be a hop, skip and a jump for me.. I'm waaaay out in the country..

I ordered them from the website. I asked at two closest quilt shop to me and they looked at me like I was silly and said they never heard of such a thing. That's one reason I don't shop at the LQS very much.

Those Pinmoors look great! I will have to get some. I use safety pins, too, and hate spray basting stuff. It seems to leave a film over everything in the area. I have had good luck with iron on batting for small things like table runners but find it still shifts too much for bed-sized quilts.

I use bolts of WonderUnder to hold applique in place before satin stitching. There are always tons of scraps left, so I peel off the paper backing and use the scraps. I've only done it on small quilts buy I sprinkle them across the batting then iron on the top using steam to bond them. Works for me and since I already have a bucket of scraps...

Sharon Schamber has a great basting technique video on her website or youtube...see below. It is one that is used in the garment industry. It is fast and works great.

A friend told me to cut up Wonder Under or any adhearing interfacing into a really fine "snow" and sprinkle that between the layers and iron it, an presto you have all layers adheared. Haven't tried it yet.

You say that you have good fabric and like the project. Either go buy spray or wait for another day. When I'm frustrated I generally don't do my best work. That's just what I would do.
