The only barn quilts I have seen are painted on the side of barns. Is this the same thing as you are getting? Sorry to sound so ignorant. I am a country girl now, but was raised in Brooklyn, NY so I guess you can't always take the city out of the girl! Love the way barns look with their painted quilts. Congrats on yours. A lady who read my novel, "Grow Old With Me," painted a quilt block for our house! It's a small 2x2. It arrived last week. I'm using it for a speaking engagement, and then I'll display it on the side of our home. |

I love barn quilts! My husband recently made me some to hang on the wall in my sewing room. They weren't painted bright colors. He used a wood dye/stain so the grain would show through.
