Which one are you getting? I have the HandiQuilter 16 and I love it. Am considering adding the computer attachment. Still not sure if it does exactly what I want so I'm still in the maybe stage. We have two local stores that sell HQ.

feline fanatic 12-01-2009 06:21 AM

Dunster, I am so happy for you and really envious!! The Innova is my dream machine! Took it for a "test drive" at a quilt show last September and have lusted for it ever since. I am religiously saving away for it but am a good 5 years away unless I hit the lottery. Enjoy and please post lots of pictures of the fabulous quilting you are sure to do with this machine, even the practice pieces!

Congratulations, and welcome to LA quilting! If you think piecing is an obsession...just you wait!!! Keep a pad and pen or pencil with you at all times, you'll be wanting to jot down ideas and practice. Keep your arm off the paper to work on your muscle memory. Don't forget to breathe, and HAVE FUN!!!

Georgia Peach 12-01-2009 01:48 PM

I just started looking at long arms and I am wondering what make you decide to get this particular machine. I know that I want a long arm, but not sure what brand to look at or what I should be looking for. Any comments or suggestion would be appreciated.

Brenda - outside of Atlanta, GA

quiltinggolfer 12-01-2009 02:54 PM

After trying many different brands, this seemed to be the best
to guide, quitest and has 24/7/365 help line that is a human person. I have not had to use them but everyone says the
are great with any problems. Also you do not have to purchase the manual with Innova (it comes with the machine) and last but not least it was the least expensive with more features. I am sure there were more reasons but can not think of any right now. Connie in KS. Innova 26
