Hey Terri, I downloaded those very patterns just the other day...hows that for a coicidence....I love applique :D

Great minds think alike! :)
I don't know how I stumbled across the site. I saw it and thought it was pretty. Just picked the hummingbird block and printed it

I worked on mine today..not at the pic stage yet, but did get the background pieced and cut out the applique. Won't have much time to work on it tomorrow..have sewing class over an hour away. That kills most of the day on Saturdays lately. But I am learning stuff, so thats good :D I also spend lots of money cause the class is held in the quilt store  I know, I know...shocking that I would have to buy something EVERYTIME I walk in the door!

Terri, I'm going to have to be thinking purples so I can work on your top...but I'll have to wait to get it since the pic shows it up in blue. Its funny, my top is purples/greens/beiges.

Once I get it all done, I'm going to TRY and get a better pic of it. One that shows the TRUE colors.

Ok, I'm going in to iron it on. Wish me luck.
I could have done it last night, but was a bit scared to do it.
I still am.......
Ok, I'm going!
Yup, here I go!
Umm....is there something else I should do instead?
Nope, I'm going in......cover me! :)

You must be like me. When our kids were small, DH worked swing shift and I used to really enjoy the evenings crreating will the kids slept and DH was making money. LOL. I still get most of my ideas after I go to bed and sometimes sneak out to the sewing room.

I got the log cabin blocks made and put together. Now I have to put the sashing on and the bow and holly and berries. I can hardly wait to see what happens to it when it goes in the mail. Who ever works on it I will be happy with what ever you decide to do. I like scrappy, folky or what ever.

Works on my block yesterday while Col was helping someone out, so had the whole day to myself. However my NEW machine started to play up when I did a machine thread job (it threads the needle for you) however it stuck and I was in trouble because then the tension went on it. :( However after fiddling with it for 1 hour I got it going again, however I had to unpick quite a lot, that took ages :? It looked okay whilst I was sewing until I turned it over and realised what had happened  . So there is my tale of woe. The good news is that I sewed it back to where I was before disaster happened and a bit more, so I am a lot happier. :D :D. I have two butterflies to applique on (did I say butterflies.....funny how they creep into my work) and I will probably get to the picture stage tomorrow. FINGERS CROSSED.

:D :D Elle
