Welcome from Tomahawk, Wisconsin....I am president of our Four Rivers Quilt guild, and we have a group of loving and giving ladies. We donated so much to help our small community.... the hospital, hospice, nursing homes, and Salvation Army to name just a few. We have fun, we learn, and enjoy each other's company. Quilters are friendly, sharing, giving, and fun loving people...we are always looking for new members.

Welcome from the Illinois countryside. The quilting board is my breakfast companion every morning with a cup of tea. My friends here never disappoint with their fabulous creations, helpful tips, new patterns and color choices, resources to further my knowledge, answers to questions, support & humor. As a group there is a wealth of knowledge on all different topics but a feeling of comraderie as we explore new ideas, solve problems and learn together. I have also met several new email correspondents and some in person, so am forever thankful for their friendship.

Welcome from Seward, Alaska! Our Guild, Kenai Peninsula Quilting Guild. The boundaries of the borough encompass a total of 25,600 square miles, of which 15,700 square miles are land. In comparison, the total land mass of the borough equals that of Massachusetts and New Jersey combined. However, the total borough population is less than 1/400th of that same area. We do have at least 5 quilt shops in the Borough to keep us quilting. We are a diverse group of quilters who live on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, which is about 100 + miles from Anchorage. To get together, many of us need to drive at least a couple of hours, or fly in. But what better place on earth in which to do so! The Quilting Board is my morning place, where I learn from a wonderful group of quilters. I hope you join us!

Warm hugs from North Carolina! My BIL went to OSU for vet school so we're practically kinfolk! I hope you all join us here at the QB. It's THE place for quick answers and great ideas. Inspiration abounds as well. If you can't find the answer on QB, a member with great search skills will likely have found you an answer in no time. I suspect that there are some closet reference librarians here. Amazing group. Welcome and Y'all come when you can since we are family! One warning, it's addictive so your stash will get more rest than it needs if you aren't careful. LOL!
Love to all! PS. If any of you have family deployed in service to our country, please PM me (Thats private message for you newbies.) I like to ship about 20 pounds of homemade fudge if I get an APO in thanks for their service. |

I am from southeastern Indiana and a member of the Columbus (IN) Star quilters. Tomorrow is our meeting and it is our annual auction. I just spent today purging my fabric and pattern to take to the sale. I have 3 large shopping bags full and it didn't make a dent. We do this once ayear, and it makes money for us to bring in noted teachers to present their programs at our meetings.

Welcome to the board from "a crazy old bat" in Oregon.

It is a pleasure to meet your guild from OK.! :)
I think of the Quilting Board as a world wide guild. I find the picture section very inspiring and a joy to browse each morning with my coffee. The QB members are kind and offer encouragement and advice when you post a question or concern about a quilting project. I think of the saying...Two heads are better than one, so a whole world of quilting brains are sure to inspire and encourage you in your quilting journey. Have a fun year as Inspiration Chair in your guild! |
Hi - I'm Dorothy (yes, from Kansas). I belong to two guilds and love all the things I've learned from them, not to mention the great friendships I've developed. And the Quilting Board is amazing! I've been helped so many times and the compliments/support from members is wonderful. This board is definitely my 'go to' quilt buddy.

welcome from Northern Idaho. I don't belong to a guild as the closest one is 50 miles away over a mountain pass, but we do have a small group who meet every week in the church basement. We work on our own projects, with an exception of either 1 or 2 raffle quilts a year. My group is so fantastic, very helpful and encouraging and no quilt police in our town!!
