I would ask them to refund the charges. Apple is fantastic with customer service. You can also use a parental control and do not store your passwords.
Also, IPad has a pass key lock to even use the IPad. Which I use.

Children that age know how to get things done these days. But they still have no real understanding of the cost yet. Good luck with getting it removed and time for a chat with the grandchild about not downloading anything without asking for permission first.

Careful there are a lot of these. One is a free smurf game but the kids need a type of berry used like money. WHen you download the berries it charges to your Iphone cell bill

Still young enough that she needs to be supervised while using it. If she needs some alone time, how about a deck of cards and teach her how to play solitaire?

You can put parental controls on most everything. I know that it has happened on games and songs on my just regular old phone and I'm the only one that uses it. I am continually getting some kind of miscellaneous monthly charge. And "customer service" just can't quite figure out how it got on there. If I don't catch it on the first or second charge, they won't refund all the charges; just a couple of them. HUH? But I never authorized it!! I think all this is just another way to make money for the apps creators.

PS: My 1 year old grandson knows how to manipulate his parents i-phones!! He loved computers and phones. :)

I think apple will work with you, although I had a cell phone bill ran up to 5 grand once and they would not budge :(

Uh-oh! $99? What in the world did the app do to cost that much??

It might be one of the games that let's you buy things to progress in the game...

I don't see how she got it without your password- apparently she has your password?

Actually you are responsible to have your account secure so no one can d/l on your Ipad. The child would have needed your security password to d/l anything.

I have to put it in everytime I buy something and d/l it to my Ipad.

YES there is. The child could not d/l it to Ipad without the account owners password and username.
