I really like mine, it does leak if I fill too much, but guess I shouldn't have dropped it, by far the best one I've used and has lasted longer than some others.... JMO

Likes or does not like their Rowenta irons, and has either a high priced or low priced iron...LOL! |
I usually use a dry iron now and keep a spritz bottle nearby. If I do use water it is distilled and I empty my iron after every time

I leave the water in my Rowenta all the time. Of course it is always being topped-off but I have never had a leak and I think I bought it in 2000.

I NEVER have empty the water. MANY TIMES I used up the water in the iron by the end of the day. If I did, I would probably be refilling more than once a day. I keep a little piece of cloth in the water opening to keep the scout ants OUT !! I remember Rowenta telling me NOT to use distilled water.....

I have a Rowenta and never empty the water out of it. I did read not to use soft water in it. The cold water in the kitchen is not soften water so I use that to fill the iron. I have had my iron about 5 years and have not had one problem with it.

I don't have a Rowenta, just a regular iron, but I have left my water in, and just kept refilling it, til one day I used the sprayer and all this black icky stuff came out. Now it's empty and I use spray starch.
