well yall, i don't know, but i have a janome 6600 also and i use the thread cutter all the time and i've never had the thread come out of the thread take up lever. i just can't imagine why that would happen except maybe the tension is too tight, otherwise, i have no idea.

I don't have problems with that either..it is just sometimes the thread jumps out..and your right dojo, it is more than likely the tension is to tight..
or too loose .. |

Congrats on your new machine! I love mine and have to admit the only time I have bunched up threads on the bottom was when I fed something into it like the edge of a quilt w/threads:)I'm glad you fixed yours...! Many more quilts to come!:)Skeat

Hmmmm.....very interesting. Makes me think that I won't be buying a Janome machine. I really love my Elna and never have a problem with it, guess I'll stick with what I know.
