Thanks for the heads up. I love Janome. Hope the thieves are caught.

Wow that was a long list of machines. I can't imagine where someone thinks they can sell that many machines without getting caught. You'd think they'd stick to something not as traceable and things you'd be able to sell at a flea market. I'm not condoning the thieves I hope they get caught and brought to justice but in my head I'm picturing walking through a flea market, looking at tables and tables of packaged socks and hair scrunchies and someone whispering "pssst... wanna buy a sewing machine? I got one real cheap"
I'll definitely keep my eyes open to our local Craigslist though. Never know where they might turn up - and eventually they will.... |
This is the first time I have ever heard of anyone stealing sewing machines.

How does one steal $1.7M of sewing machines? Sounds like an inside job. It isn't like this was a crime of opportunity; it had to be planned.

Makes you wonder what else was inside the Janome boxes.

Stick to the facts. Machines have been reported stolen. Serial numbers are available at a website. http://content.janome.com/index.cfm/...heNews?NID=268 If you want to express sympathy for Janome and/or your hope the machines are recovered, that's fine. If you find and would like to share a confirmed report that the machines have been recovered, that's fine. Nothing else is appropriate to this topic. |
