I stopped by JoAnn today and their clearance prices on fabrics is 20% and 25% on yarn. Seasonal items were more heavily discounted. I also went by Michaels and they now have a small fabric selection. Their prices were in line with JoAnn but at this point, they wouldn't take any coupons on fabric. Hopefully that will change. I too do not shop at Hobby Lobby.

I am also following the court proceedings on the Kroll website. Court adjourned near midnight last night, and will resume today. We all know about Gordon Brothers bid, but there is one more bid on the table, unfortunately it too is a liquidation company,

I hadn't seen that in my docket subscription (other than they'd delayed the proceedings from the 21st to the 26th, which an earlier schedule stated would be the case if there were any bids received beyond Gordon Brothers.)

It really seems like Kroll is rushing this bankruptcy through, compared to others I've followed (Bowflex, for example, which was handled by Epiq.) I wonder if that is because of the size of the company and all the real estate involved.

Docket is now updated. I think because it was continued into yesterday, docket is not updated until proceedings are completed. Winning bid is GA Joann Retail Partnership LLC. GA is a liquidation company and it joined with companies Joann's owes money to formed the LLC. I'm sure it's to ensure that they get paid. Time line is looking like May for closing.

Thanks - I see there's more info over on the joannfabrics subreddit as well. Most stores don't yet know the exact date when they will close and the employees will lose their jobs, but it looks like the latest any will still be open is the end of May assuming the bankruptcy judge approves the results of the auction later this week.

It looks like all stores are closing - https://www.joannrestructuring.com/
They had a list of some of the stores closing at https://www.usatoday.com/story/graph...s/78480210007/

With all the Joanns closing and all the federal workers being laid off the unemployment rate will sky-rocket! We're almost sure to have a depression.

Yes. All are closing as a result of the bankruptcy auction. The initial 500 closures were an attempt to make JoAnn attractive to a potential buyer that might keep the brand alive. That failed to garner any such bidders, only the 2 liquidation companies.

So sad. I know a lot of people don't care for JoAnn but they have been in business for 80+ years. I will miss the store near me.

So sad Joanns is closing all stores. I have seen different info on gift cards from Joanns some say you can use them in stores and some say you cannot. And is Joanns closing online store as well? And can you use gift cards online? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

The website is being shut down - the entire company is ceasing to exist.

No, you cannot use gift cards online - that was announced over a week ago. They can only be used in-store until the end of the month. They will not be accepted after February 28.

Also all sales are final - JoAnn is no longer accepting any returns for any reason.
