Bought my fleece and batting on line. I just couldn't make myself go out to save money in those crowds.

Our Jo Anne was packed also. Lines were getting crazy at check out with people worried about the additional coupon so they announced not to hurry they extended the 25 extra for the entire day. Things settled down.

My kids & G-kids where here Thurs. & Fri. couldn't miss playing Cars, G.I. Joe, Barbie and eating to much.

It sounds like there was alot of savings going on. I did go online and & saved $15. :)

I didn't get a flyer in the mail but showed up at 6am anyway-only to discover that due to county laws they weren't opening until 7am. The manager was kind enough to bring me a flyer so I could look it over while I waited. I was very please it wasn't that crazy. I picked up the doorbuster prelit tree to replace our old one. Then I shopped for me. I had a 50% coupon to sign up for a fleece jacket class and then hunted for what I needed for class. I got 2 patterns(when did patterns get so expensive), the fleece for my jacket, thread, a Fiskars sew taxi, batting for a quilt I'm working on. I spent $88.46 and saved $160.77. Everything but the tree and class were eligible for the additional 25% off and all of it was on sale. I've waited longer at the cutting table on other days. All and all I think I did good.

Went to our local Joann's - it was busy but the time went fast. Maybe waited about 30 minutes but is fun seeing what other people like for fabrics! Didn't get there early - went at 9, then went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and that was in and out. Must have missed the actual crowds. Gorgeous weather right now, totally unseasonable and I am enjoying it!!

DD was here yest & we had a great day doing nothing much.She'd been to the Black Friday sales at 2am.Bought me an armful of hand towels,which I was needing so bad.These were the "large" hand towels from Kohls & only $2 each!!!!!!

I'd priced them all summer & refused to pay the normal $7.98 price(for a hand towel?).Weather was so nice,we made salad lunch & her Dad was working in his shop....so just us.
Might hit Joanns on way home from grocery this morn.Don't really need a thing.Today is Mich/Ohio game,go BUCKS!

Yes it was great, my hubby went as well and we got a roll of warm and natural 75% off total, flannel, Christmas, dog prints, rotating cutting mat and I don't remember what and all else - saved almost 500.00.

I shopped on Black Friday twice in my life and promised myself never again regardless of the savings. In my area the stores only have limited quantities of the big discounted items and the shoppers turn vicious. It is not the way I like to begin the Christmas season experiencing the ugly side of human nature. I stayed home instead and watched Miracle on 34th Street and A Wonderful Life.

I should have gone, but I had been out shopping at Midnight, got home at 4:45. am. Just wasn't up for another tip. Besides, I had just bought my flannel for gifts on Wednesday, came home and there was the flyer in the mailbox. :( But it sure sounds like some of you found some real bargains!
