Here you go, just in case you have a limited budget and want a frame. |
I bought a used Juki with a Handiquilter frame. I love the machine. I didn't have good luck with it on the frame though. Didn't have the knac I guess. But I do use it as a FMQ machine. My husband made me a nice table to go around it out of wood. I turn the machine to face me and put the table on and it is perfect. I got the idea for the table onthe forum. Do a search on handmade quilt tables I believe. The bigges quilt I have done on it is a 70 x 70 and was fine. The only thing i don't care for is the bobbin is a side loader rather than drop in. But otherwise its great!!

I found a site for handmade wooden quilt tables. HTTP://abkcreations.blogspot.com/201...nsiontable.HTM My husband made one for me and it also fits my new Janome 6600. He put high gloss varnish on it and then I put the pledge to it. Works slick. You can make it as wide or long as you want.Mine fits with my machine facing me with the needle in the front in front of me. I think that is how to put it. LOL

Riversong,
I have longed for this machine for the last 3 to 4 months. Could I afford this or not? I have a great Janome 1100 Embroidery sewing machine. But didn't want to use it continuously for my quilting. I was looking for something that I could learn free motion on and that would be that dependable quilting machine. I am now waiting for it to arrive. I did buy the one with the extended table. Today is the day to organize my sewing area.... All the people that have had any time on this machine have had nothing but good things to say about it. It is such a good deal at this site and they also have nothing but good comments on helping you with any problems. They believe in custermer service. I think you have picked a great machine. I will tell you more after I have gotten my hands on it and sewn some things together. :) Hope this has helped. Good luck in deciding. It is hard to do. Julie |
I have one on my Gracie Frame and really like it. I have two other machines that I use for piecing.

I recently bought the new Juki TL2010Q, which has replaced the 98Q (been discontinued). I got it at http://www.Raicharts.com for $749 including shipping. If you want something with more stitches, check out the Juki F600 at Raicharts for $975. They are great to do business with.

I have one and I love it. It is smooth running and makes really nice stitches. You'll love it.

It is very similar to the Brother Nouvelle 1500s that I own. Speaking from the physical side, the 9" throat and flat bed make it extremely easy to quilt. The Brother requires regular oiling and soon lets you know if it needs it.
I would buy a machine like this. |
I bought a used Juki on e-bay to use on my quilting frame. I love it!!!! Good luck! :P
