Juki TL2010Q

Hi everyone, I am interested in buying this machine for quilting only. I have a Bernina that has all the other features I like.
Any feedback on this? I've done much research and it sounds like a good fit.
Thanks!

Welcome from outside St. Louis Mo.

I have the Juki TL98QE and love it. The throat space is 9". It is a hard worker, just needs cleaning and clear sewing machine oil.

Hi SusieQOH I have just done what you are thinking about. I own a Bernina 710 and have just purchased/unboxed a JukiTL2010Q to use specifically for the quilting. I like the 710 for piecing but haven't been super thrilled with it for quilting, even with the BSR so decided to buy the Juki on its report of being a real workhorse and excellent for quilting and fmq. I've had some trouble with the Juki walking foot which has stalled my first attempt at quilting but after going onto the facebook group for this machine yesterday, I have found other people with the same problem...it seems a different walking foot is suggested. In general though, people seem very pleased with the machine despite this hiccup. Whilst waiting to resolve the walking foot issue I am going to spend the next week doing some piecing with it as I have yet to do any real sewing on it. (Only unboxed it a few days ago) I'll keep you posted how it all pans out.

I have Juki TL2010Q for last 5 years and love it for piecing and even more for quilting. all I have to do is keep it clean and oiled.

I just bought the tl 2200 qvvp mini, which is essentially the same machine. I love it so far. Maybe they have resolved the walking foot issue with the mini because mine works fine. The only problem it had was the set screw that holds my needle in place came loose after using the walking foot, causing my needle to fall out which bent it (the needle). Possibly the screw wasn't screwed in tightly from the factory.

I don't think you will be sorry.

I bought the 2000 and love it. It does not have the speed control the 2010 has but i can't say i miss it.

Thanks, everyone. I bought it last night and it will be delivered on Monday. I'm so excited! :)

Thanks, Nan. I had to change my user id because I couldn't log in no matter how many times I tried. I finally gave up. The instructions for re-setting haven't been working.
