Maybe "shadow" frame in black or very dark gray. (You only frame two sides and offset the frames - right side and bottom.) Hope this is clear??? Maybe someone can jump in and explain what's in my head better? :D
Love the panel, by the way. Whatever you decide to do, it is going to work up into a very cute quilt. |
Can you try the blocks with white sashing?
|
I think your sashing color needs to be darker and it will highlight the animals better.

I prefer the first photo, also. The panel colors are not especially bright, so a very bright frame would draw attention from the animals.

I see I am in the minority’s but I like the first picture better. Yes it is low key but in my opinion the bright fabric washes out the panel.

Love this tutorial! Thanks for posting it. I too think a dark (black or dark blue/navy) would be great to use with these blocks. Cute blocks by the way!

I really like the low key first layout.

I'm for the darker frame. Babies do like brighter colors also. Just audition some other fabrics and you'll find the perfect one for you and the quilt. I love the cute little animals!

thank you for that link, very interesting.
I really like the darker frame idea for your blocks. |
