Well, you know I make and use them a lot.Quick way to change the feel in a room to go with the season or a particular holiday or whatever. I also keep one on my dryer,to protect from scratches and adds a pretty touch. I use a lot of them on my walls, change them ofetn. Cheaper than art work and framed pictures etc.

Sorry, can't answer this one. Because I have never made a table runner. I would rather spend the time/fabric on a quilt.
But to each their own.

My problem is that we have a lazy susan on one side of the oval table. It would sit right in the middle of the table runner and spoil the look of it. I'm thinking about making something to sort of cover the lazy susan.

I have made several and use them daily. I made one in shades of green with pointed ends that looks nice draped over the back of the recliner...kind of like we used to do ions ago when doilies were used on the back of a chair.

I've never used table runners before but I'm going to start. I think one would dress up my dining room table and give the room a homey glow. So, I'm working on a pretty one for Christmas.

I use my table runners all the time. As there are just two of us, the dining table doesn't get much use. Only for company. So... I get to dress it up with a table runner. I usually make napkins to match.

Love them dont have to just put them on table. Use them on dresser, hope chest, mantel. Have a small wall area next to door or above. You could hang one. I have one on my bar, set cannisters on it. Make nice gifts too.

I also have one on my dryer. I get it from my Grandma. She had them everywhere I also have some of hers out. Just love to have the color all around.

I'm soooo not into placemats, table toppers, and table runners. I see that kind of stuff as just a lot of extra work; washing them and keeping them looking nice. With kids you'd be washing them everyday. It is easier to just wash off a table. I have made a few as gifts for people who use that kind of thing.

I've never used even One, but see lots of them talked about here. I understand the fact you can use them as a quick Quilt project to learn on but after that they seem useless to me. why not make lap size ones and donate to a charity? Lori K. 8-)

I'm with you icon 17. Never made any table runners and don't intend to. Useless to me, but obviously not to others.
