I turn my Bernina off but it never occurred to me to unplug it. Good idea!

How many times have I dashed upstairs when hearing thunder to make SURE my machine is unplugged.... I REALLY try to unplug anymore... I want to keep this machine for a long time!! (don't trust those surge protectors, I guess...)

My Bernina has that also. The only problem with it is that I look at the machine and think it's turned off so I forget to turn it off when I'm done. I'm a doofus that way so I don't often use the eco button and when I do I put a post it over the screen saying "ECO ON!"

I had that problem too. After I plugged it into a power strip along with several lights it will go off with the lights.

I turn mine off. Also, I turn off the power supply, either at the plug or on the surger connection
