What horrible times you've gone through! I think you are an angel to finish the quilt and pass it to the person who needs it the most right now. You will be blessed for doing such a loving thing. :)

What a sweet story. My condolences on your loss and my prayers are with your sister raising two young ones at age 60. Wowsers..
So sorry for your loss. It is a wonderful although difficult thing that you did. Your nephew will always have a lovely sentiment from his family in honour of a favourite uncle.
Beautiful quilt! I am sorry for your loss I also got tears in my eyes while reading your post. I am sure when your nephew snuggles with the quilt he will feel his uncles love!
Very thoughtful, I know he will cherish it.
You all have brought tears to my eyes and the support you have shown is remarkable. Quilting is a beautiful expression of love and that is what I tried to do with this quilt. I am so glad all of you understand.
Sending prayers your way - both for you in your loss and for Darien. Your gift of this beautiful quilt will give both of you comfort.

Sorry for your loss I pray the angels help to ease your pain and that was a beautiful quilt
Very sorry to hear of your loss. Giving the quilt to your sister's grandchild was a fantastic idea. Bless all of you.
It is beautiful. I think we sew pain and joy into our quilts. I was making one for my brother when he died many years ago. I finished the top and could not finish the rest. I eventually gave it away to a relative. It is therapeutic. Looks like you made lemonade out of the experience. Bless you.

I am so sorry for your losses, I am glad that you were able to finish the quilt and give it your sister and GS. The label was a super idea. I am still grieving for my mom who after a massive stroke on Halloween, waited for all her children to get home and died Nov 2. Still hard to believe I can't just pick up the phone and tell her things, because she sewed and quilted also.

More then a quilt
It's a piece of your heart and a symbol of your love. Beautiful.
nice thoughts and condolences for your loss.
Sorry for your loss. Your thoughtfulness is touching. May God bless you.

I'm sure Carson would have been proud and is smiling down on all of you. How nice your sister and great nephew can enjoy your love and a hug from Carson, all at once. A wonderful gesture and loving memory.
Twinkie, so very sorry for your loss. I too have a brother dealing with illness(pancreatic cancer). I was fortunate in that I was able to make him a lap quilt that he is using. I'm so happy to hear that you were able to find a grateful recepient. God bless you and comfort you all.
So sorry for the passing of your brother but glad to know you finished the quilt in his memory.
I'm sure that this wonderful quilt will help Darian heal. Hugs from his uncle are just what he needs....
It takes an awful lot of courage to turn such sadness into a happy hug. My heart goes out to you for your loss but I greatly admire your spirit. God bless.
Your quilt is very pretty and was made with love in every stitch. You have given it a good home and it will truly be
treasured as a reminder of you and your brother. May you continue to spread love and kindness with your quilting. |
So sorry for your loss. The quilt is beautiful and the sentiments the same. It amazes me what joy and love and continuity a quilt can offer someone. I know this one will be cherished for the love that it was made with.
Sorry to hear of your brother's passing. I hope you are feeling better. You have made a beautiful quilt!

I'm so sorry about your brother. What a nice thing for you to do for him, though (and your sister). Love the quilt and quilt label.
Your quilt is awesome - I am sure it will be a great comfort for your nephew & sister as well
So sorry to hear of your brother's death. As a Grammy of little autistic boy I can well understand the change in your sister's life after getting custody of the children. Your quilt will mean a great deal to that child. Blessing to you as you recover from your own illness and your loss.
You have had a tough time, I'm sorry. I lost my brother last year also, so I do know how you feel. The quilt was a lovely gesture.
What a Blessing that something so beautiful and meaningful can come out of so much sadness. My thoughts are with you.
