A trick my mother told me for removing berry stains has also worked for me on blood stains. Run boiling water through the stain from about 6 inches above it. 2 tips I use a cooling rack to hold the fabric because I burned myself, also try a test sample seperate from your project.
Nurses swear by hydrogen peroxide- try on sample first.

I always tell my family that I leave those blood spots on there intentionally in case they ever need my DNA!..lol. Seriously tho, all have washed out as the quilts are laundered. It gives new meaning to the phrase "giving a quilt is like giving a part of yourself" haha

Put it in your mouth and get it really juiced up with your saliva. Work the fabric with your tongue. Do this for about
3-5 minutes. The blood will come out!

Try peroxide, or your own saliva. Sounds funny, but it works

hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball. then rinse with a cotton ball of water.

When I wore white uniforms we used to use peroxide.

Just remember to rinse with the cold water if you use any of the chemicals. I personally, prefer the natural way.

She is right I have worked in the dental field for years and would always use hydrogen peroxide to clean my uniforms. Let it sit a short time add more then wash :thumbup: good luck

Worked in a hematology lab for years and we kept a bottle of peroxide in the fridge and that always worked.
