Here are some LC's I've sent out to quilted and I think the quilting is gorgeous.
SID looks fine too but I just love the curves that 'fancy' quilting adds. |
These are beautiful!
Thanks so much for sharing your pictures- Ginger |
Where do you stitch in the ditch, around each block or stitch in the ditch at each strip? I have only done free motion quilting (meandering) on my log cabin quilts and they look fine.

Welcome to the board! Stitch in the ditch is good, but I personally like to put Baptist Fans on my log cabins. Old time block pattern with old time quilting design. There are endless ways to quilt so it really is what you prefer and like the best :)

I use Baptist Fan quilting for Log Cabin.
Okay now I have read the whole post and the two quilts above my post are what I am suggesting. They are beautiful. |

Are you machine or hand quilting? Going across seams can be challenging when hand quilting. I hand quilted this one. (Is there any other way to quilt? Ha!) In the colored part of the log cabin I quilted in the ditch. In the white part where the "logs" didn't really show I quilted to echo the star shape. In the trees I also did angled lines. I like variety that brings out the pattern of the piecing.

I think the Baptist fan shown here looks really good with the log cabin blocks.
