THIS is a TOOL.... soooo I am jealous of your new tool.. I hope you get hours and hours of pleasure from this machine... my only experience with a treadle was I could only sew BACKWARDS..... lol!

I figure until it works it is a toy. Then it will become a tool. HAHA

you are very lucky. I have one that I found at a flea market years ago and it runs beautifully. I just had to clean it up and get a new belt for it. My son made a pillow for his little sister on mine when he was a young teen. He didn't want to get in trouble for using my electric one so he used that one. I just recently ran across one at a yard sale but the guy wanted way to much for it

Woohoo K, what a find! Why not call her Elizabeth after her place of birth? :D

Congratulations! That's the closest one to mine I've seen. The only thing I see (so far) different is the handles on your drawers. Mine just has little wooden knobs.
Mine was also born in Elizabeth, NJ

And you really want to send it to me. I promise to give it a loving home, dust it daily, use it at least three times a week (likely lots more), and send you pictures and updates on its care and how it's doing.

How beautiful! I have one just like it that really works. I just hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. I am new and totally love this site. I find all of your quilt work exceptional. I am new to quilting and just hope one day to produce as beatiful work as I have seen on this site.

It's a beautiful machine. I also have one. We display it in the entry of our home with some old family pictures sitting on the lid of the cabinet. I made a small quilt and attached under the pressure foot. This gives us an opportunity to share the wonderful old machine, family pictues and a bit of my needle work. Enjoy, it's a wonderful bit of the past.
