Make your own pattern. Study it for a while and then copy it. The blades look like they are appliqued.

pretty pattern

Looks like it was made in 4 sections, should be easy enough to make a pattern.

I have made the patterns for the blades...and it is 4 blocks finished at 16 in....where I am confused---do I cut 4 blocks and applique the blades over them or piece the white pieces in seperatley...u can tell I'm kinda new at quilting

Cut 4 blocks and applique the blades over them.

QuiltTown used to offer that pattern for free but they don't seem to be there anymore. Ain't that the way??

I know I've seen it in one of my magazines - I'll try to look this week.
