The website says $16.97/year.
I just looked at all the quilting magazines available through Amazon. Patchwork and Quilting is $86 forr 1 year/12 issues! I've never seen that magazine and I'm betting I never will. |
That has to be an error either way, I'd sure pass !

My notice read the same as yours. Couldn't believe the price, figure it was a typo but geez...

For that money, I'd expect to get fabric, thread and someone to sweep up.. LOL

There have been scam renewals going out for many of the quilting magazines, most of them with a Reno, Nev return address, this sounds like it might be one of the scams. This is mail fraud & I turned the several I received last year over to the post office. Doube check with Fons & Porter & if a scam turn it in to the postal service.

I've been reading thru the replies, many say to throw in the the trash, but this is mail fraud and the postal service does want to know & they do investigate-please turn these scam renewals over to the post office, that is the only way they can be stopped.

I am allowing all my subscriptions to run out... what a pain to get renewal notice after renewal notice...the one Ireceived last week stated "Final Notice" -- wow I sure hope so. I also received Cd's with quilt patterns... never authorized shipment.. made the mistake of opening the first shipment and had to pay return postage along with receipt of delivery. Next one I Marked 'Refused' and was thankfully not shipped another. I just purchase magazines when I am intested in the contexts. After all I receive most of my quilting ideas from the wonderful member of this QB :)

Yes, I got that today, I called and they said that wasn't from the company-it was from a magazine marketing group and to tear it up and wait for my regular renewal bill to come. I sure did tear that thing up!!!!!

Why do the companies waste postage doing that when you just renewed, sometimes I get on line and look up my account.

I receive several magazines, but like a lot of you I am letting the subsriptions run out -- yes, money is tight, I have hundreds of books and years worth of magazines to look at and quilt from -- and that's not counting the hundreds of patterns I pulled from old magazines. I am at the point that I would rather spend my money on fabric and if I see a magazine with a pattern I just have to have I will use one of my 40% off coupons at JoAnns.
