I just got my machine out of the box and I love it!
Thanks for the suggestion! (I know y'all won't notice my clutter behind it on the couch or the strips of painters tape on the folding door....lol) |
You will love the table! Enjoy!

Good to hear that you are liking the table!!!
I was so excited about this table and I showed it to DH. He just couldn't fathom that an insert for a keyboard that only weighe 1 - 2 pounds would hold a heavy machine - said it wouldn't last long and would probably bend from the weight and vibrations and pull out of the table. LOL!!I don't really care that he doesn't think it will work - I trust the quilters here who are 'more experienced' than he is. I will probably get one in Sept (without his knowledge) and just set it up ;) |
Remember Harriet Hargrave recommended this table in her new book "Quilter's Academy 2" Her daughter has one set up in her sewing room!
I love mine! Let your hustband know that there is no vibration with this table and the shelf is supoorted by stainless steel brackets that adjust to 6 levels! |
LOL!! I did mention it but he does not know the who's who in quilting. I will just quietly set myself up and he probably won't notice until after a few months have passed.

Got mine set up and put the Juki on it. Did some piecing yesterday, but I have to say that I did have a bit of vibration. DH is going to do something else to the table to make the keyboard holder more sturdier. Don't ask me what, but I have to say that I got a bit nervous piecing with the Juki. Now I don't know how much your machines weigh, but I do have the older Juki and it is a heavy one! I feel that I might be a bit nervous free motion quilting on it, at least until DH re-inforces it more. I think I am going to write to Harriet Hargrave and ask her about what machine she has on her table and the weight. Other than that, I have a very old Singer that doesn't weigh as much as the Juki or Sapphire. I might just put that on the machine. I do love the table! Perfect size!!! And I would buy it again just use it on a lighter weight machine. k

I have my Bernina Activa on the table. I just use the table for piecing, sewing blocks and making items like potholders, table runners, etc. I did use my walking foot with my machine and didn't have any issues.
I am not sure how much your Juki weighs or what it looks like. You can probably go online to www.harriethargrave.com and contact her directly. I am happy with her recommendation. If she responds to you let me know what she says! |
I have been using the table all this week with no major issues. I did email Hargrave a week ago, no response. Anyways, table seems to be working alright. I did some free motion quilting, piecing and regular sewing and no problems. It looks great!

Oh I am so happy! I knew that it was a good table! I love to sew with my Bernina on it. No vibrations and it is very sturdy!
