If any one is a Sam's Club member, you can get it for $106.36 with free shipping. Looks like a nice table.
I have a Janome Quilter's machine that sure would look good on that table, alas, I have no more room. Let me think...Maybe I could move...I know, I could stack...no, that wouldn't work either. DagNabIt!!! |

It looks awesome!

Does anyone have the measurements of the keyboard shelf? I need something like this for my serger.
|
I wouldn't recommend this for a serger. You may be better off with the serger cart from Nancy's Notions
http://www.nancysnotions.com/product...rrivals&page=1 I own this cart and it is very portable, has wheels and has room for all of your serger accessories. It costs $195 |
Thank you . . .will look into it :)

Well, that answered my question! DH is going to makee me a cutting table out of the solid door he has I think. But, he is interested in getting me a small portable table since I put my cart upstairs. I have nowhere to sew in the sewing room! We were debating between this one and the Arrow 98601. We were thinking the Safco would be more sturdy and that was confirmed here and in PM's!
Will order this weekend when I have more time! |

On these computer tables do you think the shelf is strong enough for a sewing machine? Fast forward to now and this Safco table. I was lucky enough to get one at a thrift store for only $15.00. My Bernina 1090 fits nicely on it, but if I go too fast it does vibrate a tiny bit. Knowing that Harriet Hargrave uses Bernina's and suggested this table, I may email her and ask if she experiences any vibration and/or how to combat that. It does help to have a piece of that rubbery shelf liner under your sewing machine. Otherwise, I absolutely LOVE being able to use my machine flatbed style and still be able to access the free arm if need be. It's SO nice that the drop down shelf is adjustable, I think at 5 different levels. Perfect for me! I believe the shelf is supported well enough by adequate hardware or I wouldn't dare put my Bernina on it. My Bernina on my Safco table |
