I feel your pain. I bent a shaft once and it was cheaper to replace.

Ouch. Does your repairman know you are waiting for your machine? I hope he can fix it quickly...
Is tying an option? Anymart |
I'm sorry to hear about your machine. It is something that I think about all the time. Sharing your story, though, will have reminded many of us to be more mindful and careful.
I stopped using safety pins a couple of quilts ago. Mainly because the weight of all those pins was murder on my wrists and shoulders. However, I do still use straight pins and a nasty accident could happen just as easily with those. Good luck with the repair and I hope that you get your machine back quickly without too shocking of a repair cost. |
I always hate to hear about bad things happening. Hopefully, it will come home soon.

I haven't had any problem except maybe bending a pin or breaking the needle. Not done anything like you mentioned. I have several sewing machines but mostly use my Bernina 1530 for most of my sewing.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Hope you get her back quickly, in time to finish your quilts for Christmas!

Oh I feel your pain! I FM on an old Singer and I love it! May rethink my safety pin technique. Wish you were my neighbor and you could just pop over and borrow one of my machines!
