Can't wait to see your quilt ... as long as it's made with love, it will be beautiful!!!

You're right! And Dee, love your signature quote! You'll notice mine ... A dear friend of mine, who is now passed on, was from New Jersey. He and his family relocated to Alabama with his work, and said it, and the entire south, was the best-kept secret in the country! LOL I think he was right, so we'll just try to keep it that way!

Remember when your husband pull the quilt over him, he will be ahing in pleasure. Most ugly quilts are loved quilts, especially since we make them for our love ones.

Living in Indiana I can see why he wants a warm one, and it seems to me you will have the warmest one every, and I am sure it will end up being much prettier than you realize now. Please show us some pictures of it when you can. Thanks.

To you it maybe ugly. To your hubby it will be beautiful since you made it for him! Enjoy the process. Luann

It's not about ugly. It's making a quilt for your hubby and making it from your stash!

I bet it will turn out better than you think. Happy Sewing

I saw that you are using flannel and I do have a question about using flannel. I have stayed away from it until now. I have it for the backing for a cotton topped quilt. How should I prepare the flannel - machine wash and dry in the dryer? High heat? What is your advice?

I love a flannel quilt. It is the one everyone fights for. No one care what it looks like.
