Are they realistically useable? I am on tight budget and dont want to waste anything. Thanks for your input. Lori |
Too small for me too.

I have a special bin in the sewing room for scraps that small. When I accumulate enough, I take them to one of the local quilt guilds. They say this is for the "bale". I have to admit I don't know exactly where this fabric goes, but I do know that it gets recycled.

The only thing I could think of is paper piecing, but even then they might be too small.

sorry everyone, but they are NOT trash...
great for stuffing pillows, pin cushions, toys, etc... great for paper piecing, great for foundation piecing into the scrappy blocks like the other lady showed, great for SNIPPET quilts, I never see trash in fabric I paid good money for! ps, when in doubt throw it out for the birds to line their nests with! |
Ohmygosh! Thanks for the great ideas!
I'm going to stash all of my little crumb-letts in their own space until I decide exactly what to do with them... I love the idea of giving to the humane society for animal beds, using for tiny paper piecing (should I ever get that good - lol) or just donating to a quilters guild. I asked for everyone's opinion and surely do respect them all. This is such an awesome place to hang out. Have a great Monday, folks! Lori |
Most of then look like the size I use with 2" blocks.
|
trash, filler for stuff or a little kid can glue them on paper to quilt Curious what others say.

I dont save anything less than a 2 inch square...so would already be in my trash
