Has anyone seen the newest (Dec/Jan2012) issue
of McCall's Quick Quilts magazine?

Have you seen the "Tiny Tannnenbaum" wall hanging?

I AM going to make that SOON!! even went so far as
to digging in my stash for the fabrics I plan to use in it.

For those who has NOT seen it yet this is a picture of
the wall hanging.

All right now! There you go starting something else for us to go gaga over. I think this is going to be as popular as the Jeweled Forest pattern that has been the hot topic this week. I shall meander over to the bookstore tomorrow. This one looks easier. Thanks for sharing "you little project maker you!!!!!!

No subscription needed! Now that you have a picture, you could draw it out on graph paper ... and you could then do it easy enough. From the finished measurements, each square would be 2-1/2" unfinished. Or of course, if you want it to be a different finished size, you could make a larger tree .... or use larger blocks!

Quilty-Louise 10-28-2011 02:59 PM

Instead of using red buttons (like was used in picture)
I am going to use sequins and seed beads for an added
"sparkle".

And my border fabric is going to be different.

Got mine and was on the list to do along with the Snowmen wallhanging.

My magazine just came today. After reading your post I had to find the magazine and take a look. It is cute!!! I have several of those light strings left over from my crafting days!

Opal Jane 10-28-2011 04:00 PM

I got my magazine the other day and plan to make that one also. Do you know where I can find the tiny lights?

I have seen those lights at Joanns before, and I KNOW that
somewhere in all my junk I have some of those lights so I
hope that I can find them now that I want/need them.

But in the magazine they say that the mini lights can be found
in craft stores or online at:

Also here is another website to get them at.

judykay 10-29-2011 06:09 AM

If I don't quit drooling and wanting to make every Christmas project I see I am going to need more wall room. I love decorating for the holiday season and start the day after Thanksgiving. I think I am going to have to devote all of 2012 to doing Christmas projects, they are just so cheerful & pretty.

JanieH 10-29-2011 06:11 AM

Just got my copy! hadn't looked at it yet but went to the site and love it! thanks for pointing it out.

grannypat7925 10-29-2011 06:36 AM

Looks like a fun thing to make!

Krisb 10-29-2011 06:41 AM

Oh, this could provide a home for those adorable light bulb charms from the after-Christmas sale of 2009.

Quilty-Louise 10-29-2011 06:46 AM

I has also decided to make this in other colors.

I found some very pretty poinsettia fabric in a
pinkish rose color so I want going to make it in
pinks for my oldest daughter.

Might even do one in blue, purple, yellow and red
for various family members.
