do you have a pic of the fabric? maybe some one on here could also look for you and get it if they DO find where it is? It is worth trying

I am so thankful for this forum. I am learning so much from you other quilters. I have been ordering fabic online like crazy and have never checked for mistakes. I will now!!

I would post a picture of the fabric, maybe one of us has it in our stash.

The fabric is a large black floral from Benartex's "Mayfair" line. I went on their website (wholesale only) and they listed a LQS that carries it, so I will call them today to see if they have it available. If not, I'll be right back here asking you guys! :)

I "eyeball" an online order, but guess I need to really measure! Don't know why I didn't think of that before!

I found that the place I had been ordering from gives me at least 3 or 4 inches more than what I ordered. I mean on every piece I order. Even if I order five different yardages of fabrics. I think that's pretty good of them. I checked with them and they said that it's their policy to overcut rather than undercut.

Where do you order from?

I'm pretty sure this particular one is Hancock's of Paducah. The reason I can't be positive is that at the time this came up, I had received orders from three different places in one week. I don't shop that often, but when I DO it's usually from two or three different places at once. I scoop up all the clearances. I usually shop with eQuilter, the above mentioned Hancock's, and Thousands of Bolts. But I check sales from everyone.

I've never measured my fabric when I get it home. I just assume they would get it right. Guess I will have to start checking from now on. Thanks for the heads up!!!

I am new at buying on line, and now I am thankful that I have because I have found out so many things and hopefully helped others too. I will check the sizes of the fabric I bought on E-bay as soon as I can. I was after the fabric more that how much there was in the piece.Hopefully the lady I got the fabric from has given me the right amount. Thank you for posting this information so newies like me can be more aware of problems etc. along the way.

Oh no! My LQS was OUT of this fabric. I need 1 yard. I don't mind paying $9-$10 a yard for it, but hate having to pay $7+ for shipping! I hate it when this happens
