Oh my gosh, were we married to same man ? Yes, every room had to be "perfect" and museum quality.....I had no input as to colors used, etc.......according to him I had no sense of "color or design". Even my sewing room was under his authority ! Needless to say that is all in the past and I'm quite proud of my home and my decorating tastes today, not to mention any of my family/friends/etc. can come in and be comfortable and enjoy themselves.

This guy also went a step further in that we had to have candle light each night with dinner, along with cloth napkins....even if we had something as low class as burgers on the grill...we still had to have candles and cloth napkins ! As of today, many years later, I'm not even sure where my cloth napkins are stored !

My living room/dining room is also my sewing room so I have to have it clean. Try to vaccumn after one of my sessions as the carpet is a magnet for thread. Our office is also my husbands tool shed, so he understands. Our apartment is small we try to keep it manageable. BrendaK

I' d like to have a perfectly clean sewing room, but what would I do with it? Lol. Truthfully, I would just like to be able to walk around in it w/o tripping over stuff, be able to have someone come in to see my quilts, etc, or to have a lesson or two, or maybe sew together. Creative clutter would be fine. I've started getting organized, but can't stop quilting long enough to finish. I did move some stuff out that wasn't quilting fabric and bought plastic drawer units for my yarn, etc so I could find it easier, and I'm still cutting scraps up, so I am slowly making progress. Liked the 'pilot' method comment!

Julie R. I have to comment on you avator pic. I am the biggest Beagle fan. I might be gaga over them. I have a Beagle mix who is 15 and a half. What a blessing. One would never guess by her behavior and energy she is that old. Love the pic!!!

Just did some rearranging in mine yesterday because of that. Rearranging my sewing room meant a change in the sewing annex and bedroom too, so it wasn't an easy task. All that work to get started on a small wall hanging incorporating my new bat block.
