in the middle of the night

I had this brain freeze and I got up and cut this out . I have no idea how I'm going to
put it together into a quilt. I should have stayed in bed. If it actually becomes a quilt I'm going to call it Roulette SSUZZ |
WOW... That is going to be beautiful. Your colour combinations are very elegant and that is a very imaginative layout. I can hardly wait to see your finished quilt.
I am glad I'm not the only one that pulls these middle of the night frenzies!! Thought I was crazy!!
Looks great so far. Needs you to decide on a color for setting triangles in between the blocks...Keep it going...
Wish I could help but can't seem to come up with a suggestion.

I can see many of the smaller ones spinning out of the large circles, and then gradually a conversion into the larger hexes. The challenge will be to transition from the circles to the hexes (both sizes) ... and you'll have to just cut into the hexes to make the curves fit. You might be able to group similar colour hexes together in those spin areas. |
Gorgeous, I would love to see the original fabric :)
Wow, how pretty! Good luck.
Love the circles..................................and colors
So pretty! I wish I came up with pretty things in the middle of the night!
They are beautiful! The hexes i would put together like OBW, but not sure about the circles. Maybe applique on a background? What ever you end up doing, it can't help but be amazing.
The middle of the night ideas are sometimes the best!!! This is beautiful and will make a gorgeous quilt!!
Yep!! Roulette, had you been to the 'casino' in the last week before!LOL you even made chips But by the looks of them I'd say they are $100 dollar ones! looking very nice to ME! I love Roulette. and this very Pretty!
Very cool! If you had enough of the paisley fabric, I would use it for piecing in the background. It would be fairly easy to appliqué the pieces together onto a whole background but I think it would look better pieced together. You might be able to find some ideas in the Bella Bella book on how to piece in large circles.
Wow, I have a lot of trouble sleeping myself, but nothing this exciting ever came out of it. Those are beautiful. What was the original fabric. Like those circles and the hexagons.
I'm off to work now but tonight I will post a photo of fabric SSUZZ
Whatever it turns out to be, it's gonna be beautiful!
Oh....I see a new acronym coming......
MNF = middle of the night frenzy |
Love it. Very beautiful for the middle of the night cutting. I can't do that good in the daytime. Thanks for sharing.
It is gorgeous. You do a lot better with your brain in the middle of the night than I do!
I bet you are going to be happy you did not go back to bed when you get them finished. They are so beautiful.
Great brain freeze! It shall be beautiful when together....
"middle of the Night" will have to be its name when finished! You WILL of course show it to us won't you? Please, oh please!

That is wonderful. I wish I had those kind of brainstorms. Really unique and I am sure you will find a magnificent way to put it together. Please let us see it when it is done.

My original idea was to make it all circles but my templates are wedges. I can still make them circles ,
but I'm not sure if I want to. Anyway heres a photo of the fabric and a couple of the small circles. Fabric is Hoffman , I think Born to be Wild. |
I love the colors and the design! Waiting to see what you do next! :-)
Wish my insomnia would produce something like that. I just sit here typing on this forum.
Beautiful fabric. I think I will try to get some. Love blues and what ever you do with this quilt will be beautiful as well. BrendaK

oh the possibilities! And in the middle of the night, too! I see a very contemporary quilt. Laid out just about the way it's pictured. Connect the hexs to the circles with a filler & just let the whole thing flow together. Can't wait to see this finished!
Love the colors and idea :):)
I love the colors, it is going to make a beautiful quilt.
