All the JoAnn's around me have cash registers that catch those kind of things. So I would say that it was allowed, or it would have been caught.

I had that happen a while back at JF. My bill was well over $100, she took the coupons off my phone, I had a couple of gift cards with some money left on them, not much. She told me I owed her $20 some dollars, I almost fell over. I asked her if she was sure that was right. She assured me it was, as Cashes Mom said, if its not right the register will tell them.

I too know Catholic guilt but I agree that the Register should have caught it. I got my oliso iron that way and felt smart

Just for the record I think it's nice that you care- no matter if you go back or not. :)
If I ever lose my purse I want you to be the one who finds it!!!

I've had various versions of that happen to me and if I've already checked out, I don't worry about it. However, if it is a mom and pop store, I go back to the store and insist that they make a correction.

It can vary. Sometimes the extra discount is on everything, other times it is for sale and regular priced items only and you can't "double dip" on an item covered by a coupon. Like others have said, it's all programed into the registers. At the store I usually shop, the clerks will scan every coupon you have"just in case".

I have read all of the "guilt" responses but not one mentioned the fact that a senior discount was used fraudulently and that was the first thing that popped into my mind when I started reading. Just saying.

I don't think that was fraudulent use. When we go to Culver's, they are happy to give my whole family the senior discount if we old folks are there. Fraudulent use would be to try to use the discount if you are alone and not old enough. Best thought would be to ask.

Sewbiz, I got the 5" square die, so I can cut my squares for the swaps on this board faster (and not worry about that dang ruler slipping on me at the very end of the cut!). It cuts 2 at a time. So if I fold the material, I can get a pile all at once. Weeeee! Guess what I'm doing this weekend!

That's a good one to have! I've cut a billion I Spy squares with mine.
